invites submissions for presentations on best practices and performance
improvement initiatives for its upcoming 2017 Midwest Risk Management Seminar.
The presentations will be given during the 2017 Seminar at the Amway Grand
Plaza in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on August 29–30, 2017. The seminar will be
live-streamed to additional sites in Wisconsin, North Dakota, Minnesota,
Nebraska, and Texas.
seeking these presentations to enrich the educational content depth and breadth
of the seminar. The focus of this risk management seminar is to increase
patient safety and reduce risk in healthcare. Current topics that are slated
for the seminar include: the patient experience, patient literacy, self-care
for healthcare providers, and HIPAA. Previous best practices presentation
topics included: patient safety event review, opioid therapy management,
perioperative best practices, and managing complex care in the ED.
The Call for Presentations is open February 13–March 10, 2017. Presentations
should be one hour in length of time, including a brief session for question
and answer. Our planning team will evaluate all proposals for the following
criteria: structure & content, transferability, and content validity and
strategy. Coverys will provide a complimentary full conference registration to
speakers in addition to lodging expenses and reimbursement for meal expenses
during the seminar.
The final program selections will occur by March 29, 2017. You
will be notified only if your program is selected.
