Coverys invites submissions for presentations on best practices and performance improvement initiatives for its upcoming 2017 Midwest Risk Management Seminar. The presentations will be given during the 2017 Seminar at the Amway Grand Plaza in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on August 29–30, 2017. The seminar will be live-streamed to additional sites in Wisconsin, North Dakota, Minnesota, Nebraska, and Texas.

We are seeking these presentations to enrich the educational content depth and breadth of the seminar. The focus of this risk management seminar is to increase patient safety and reduce risk in healthcare. Current topics that are slated for the seminar include: the patient experience, patient literacy, self-care for healthcare providers, and HIPAA. Previous best practices presentation topics included: patient safety event review, opioid therapy management, perioperative best practices, and managing complex care in the ED.

The Call for Presentations is open February 13–March 10, 2017. Presentations should be one hour in length of time, including a brief session for question and answer. Our planning team will evaluate all proposals for the following criteria: structure & content, transferability, and content validity and strategy. Coverys will provide a complimentary full conference registration to speakers in addition to lodging expenses and reimbursement for meal expenses during the seminar.

The final program selections will occur by March 29, 2017. You will be notified only if your program is selected.
